Privacy Policy

1. Scope

Golf Cart Match is operated by Karnig Ventures. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit GolfCartMatch.com, browse listings, submit a private-seller listing, apply as a dealership, use a Seller Dashboard, or purchase a listing. It should be read with our Terms of Use.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Identity and contact information, such as name, verified email address, phone number, dealership name, and website.
• General location, including city, state, ZIP code, pickup area, delivery availability, and delivery distance. We do not ask sellers for a street address in the public listing form.
• Listing and inventory information, such as cart specifications, price, condition, road status, descriptions, photos, files, and inventory-feed details.
• Transaction information associated with a paid listing, such as Stripe checkout session status, listing purchased, amount, and payment confirmation. Golf Cart Match does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
• Communications and requests you send to us.

Information collected automatically

• Basic browser, device, request, security, and network information made available to our hosting infrastructure, including IP address and timestamps.
• A randomly generated first-party visitor identifier used to count unique listing views and seller-contact clicks. The cookie is currently named gcm_listing_visitor, uses SameSite=Lax and Secure settings, and may remain for up to one year.
• Seller verification status, one-time-code attempts, rate-limit counters, secure dashboard session records, and bot-detection results. Verification codes and session secrets are stored only as cryptographic hashes.
• Interaction records such as listing views, email-link clicks, submission timing, error logs, and fraud-prevention signals.

3. Public listing information

A marketplace listing is intended for public viewing. Cart photos and descriptions, asking price, city, state, ZIP code, delivery information, seller type, and seller contact email may be displayed publicly and indexed or cached by search engines and other services. Seller phone numbers are collected for marketplace operations but are not currently displayed in public listings. Buyers who contact sellers directly control the information they include in those communications.

4. How we use information

• Publish, search, operate, measure, expire, renew, and manage listings.
• Provide private Seller Dashboards and deduplicated activity counts.
• Process listing-fee checkout and confirm payment.
• Notify sellers when a paid campaign ends and before listing data is deleted.
• Review dealership applications and inventory sources.
• Communicate about listings, service updates, support, privacy requests, fraud, and safety.
• Protect users, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, debug problems, and maintain security.
• Comply with law, resolve disputes, and maintain business and transaction records.
• Understand and improve marketplace performance.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

• Publicly, when you submit information intended for a public listing.
• To service providers, including Cloudflare/Sites and Turnstile for hosting, database and image storage, bot detection and abuse prevention; Stripe for listing-fee payment processing and fraud screening; and a transactional email provider for verification and listing notices.
• To buyers and sellers, when they choose to communicate directly.
• For legal and safety reasons, when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or enforce agreements.
• In a business transaction, such as a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

Golf Cart Match does not sell personal information for money and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.

6. Payments and third-party services

Stripe hosts the paid-listing checkout and processes payment information under its own privacy terms. Stripe may collect transaction, device, contact, and payment-method information. Other sites or email services you use to communicate with a seller have their own practices. Golf Cart Match is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes. Unpaid listing submissions and their photos may be removed if checkout is not completed within 24 hours. Public listings remain active for their purchased or promotional period. At expiration, the listing is hidden and its details, photos, and activity metrics are held for a 30-day renewal window. If the seller does not renew, that listing data is then deleted from active systems. Listings marked sold are hidden immediately and are also scheduled for deletion after 30 days.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies already cached by search engines, stored in restricted backups, or retained as transaction, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute, or legal records. The first-party visitor identifier may remain in a visitor’s browser for its stated cookie period even after an individual listing is deleted.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may choose not to submit a listing, omit optional information, decline optional delivery or shipping information, or adjust browser settings for cookies. Blocking the listing-visitor cookie may affect deduplicated metrics but should not prevent basic browsing.

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable law covers Golf Cart Match, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about disclosures; to opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, or profiling practices; and to appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Submit a request to Webmaster@KarnigVentures.com or mail it to the address below. Describe the request and the listing or email address involved. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authorization.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain, including bot challenges, email verification, request throttling, image validation and rewriting, cryptographically generated access values, secure dashboard sessions, and hosted payment processing. No internet service or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep Seller Dashboard access links private and tell us promptly if one may have been exposed.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Sellers and paying users must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. United States operation

Golf Cart Match is operated in the United States and is designed for U.S. listings. Information may be processed and stored in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different privacy laws.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as the marketplace, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may receive additional notice when appropriate.
