Identify the platform
Ask the seller for the serial or manufacturer number and verify the model year. TXT and RXV carts may look similar after body, seat, wheel, or roof modifications, but their underlying systems and service requirements are different.
Determine whether the cart is gas, traditional electric, factory lithium, or converted to lithium. Confirm that the charger and battery-management system match the installed pack.

Mechanical and electrical inspection
Test acceleration, braking, steering, reverse, lights, charging, and accessory operation. Inspect battery cables, trays, terminals, suspension bushings, tires, seat supports, rear-seat hardware, and the underside for corrosion or impact damage.
For modified carts, ask who performed the work and whether original components are included. Poorly installed lift, speed, lighting, or battery modifications can cost more to correct than the apparent purchase savings.
Compare total ownership cost
Price should reflect battery age, remaining warranty, tire condition, upholstery, accessories, maintenance, and known repairs. Include transportation and any community-required equipment when comparing carts located in different markets.
