Confirm whether the cart is a D5, Classic, Carrier, Turfman, or another configuration, along with passenger capacity and seat direction. Record the battery brand, capacity, installation date, charger, displayed mileage, keys, manuals, and available warranty documents.
Check whether accessories were installed by the manufacturer, dealer, or a later owner. Ask for receipts and inspect wiring, mounts, fasteners, and weather sealing.

Road-use claims require paperwork
Equipment such as lights, mirrors, belts, a windshield, and a VIN may be relevant, but legality depends on vehicle classification, documentation, registration, insurance, and local rules. Verify these items with the appropriate agencies before buying for road travel.
Make sure the seller’s ownership documents match the cart and that any title can be transferred as represented.
Evaluate condition and support
Test charging, acceleration, braking, steering, displays, lights, signals, cameras, audio, and accessories. Inspect tires, suspension, upholstery, roof, body, battery mounting, charging port, and underside.
Confirm that a practical service option exists near the buyer. Transporting a cart for specialized repairs can materially change the total cost of ownership.
